Mike Delaney RNMH, RMA, Cert Couns, MBACP & EAGALA is a well-known and highly respected mental health professional, having worked in the field for nearly 40 years. He qualified as a nurse practitioner in mental health and learning disabilities in 1981 and rapidly progressed to management positions within the NHS and private sector. He has specialisms in addictive behaviours and has developed several innovative addiction therapy models.
He has directed several residential substance misuse services and is recognised within the media for his contribution to mental health services – and has been involved with several TV documentaries including the BAFTA award winning ‘Lager, Mum and Me’ and the BBC’s ‘Am I normal?’ with Dr Tanya Byron. Trusted by organisations such as London Underground (delivering trauma support in the wake of 7/7) and celebrity clients requiring strict confidentiality, he is an empathic, insightful and caring professional, with significant experience in supporting others to emotional wellness.
Mike now leads an extensive team of professionals, all qualified to deliver specialist care to support mental health. These professionals have been hand-selected by Mike – and are part of the team with which he has worked successfully for many years.
